Trustee Torres is an Indiana University South Bend alumnus and entrepreneur and is president and CEO of InterCambio Express. Following Trustee Torres’ graduation from Mexico Autonomous University in 1990, he served as an accountant. He came to the U.S. in 1995 and earned his MBA at IU South Bend in 2000. Trustee Torres’ own experience in forex trading from a prior work experience in a transnational company inspired him to create a business plan for an internet-based international money transfer service, primarily to Latin America, as part of a class project at IU South Bend. Trustee Torres made that plan a reality in 1999 by founding InterCambio Express. InterCambio Express was recognized as one of Indiana’s Top 50 Companies to Watch, and Torres has been named by IBJ among the 250 Most Influential Business Leaders in Indiana. Trustee Torres was also awarded the IU Distinguished Alumni Service Award in 2014.

Torres is involved in his northern Indiana community and serves on boards for the IU Foundation, Community Foundation of Elkhart County, 1st Source Bank, Women’s Care Center and RISE-Moxie.
