About Trustee Bopp

Trustee Bopp is the Principal Attorney with The Bopp Law Firm, PC in Terre Haute, Indiana. He earned a B.A. in history and political science from IU in 1970, and a J.D. from the University of Florida College of Law. His First Amendment litigation practice includes over 190 campaign finance cases against federal and state laws in over 45 states. His Supreme Court practice includes winning nine of his 14 cases that the Court has decided on the merits.

Bopp has been listed among The 100 Most Influential Lawyers in America in 2013 by the National Law Journal, and one of The Top Supreme Court Advocates of the Twenty-First Century by the Journal of Law in 2012.

While an undergraduate, he was a Student Senator, President Pro Tempore of the Student Senate, candidate for President of the Student Body in 1969, Chief Justice of J-IFC Judicial Board, an IU Intercollegiate Debater, and the Outstanding Graduating Senior for Kappa Sigma Fraternity. He has also served IU as an instructor at IU Kelley School of Business and a lecturer at the IU Maurer School of Law and IU McKinney School of Law. Two of Bopp’s daughters are also graduates from IUB.
