As CEO, Trustee Walker leads the North American group of companies of Tsuchiya, a Nagoya, Japan–based company. The company manufactures plastic injection molded assemblies, blow mold assemblies, extrusions, labels, overlays, and dimensional graphic products for the automotive industry. In 1994 she was named the president of Bloomington-based TASUS Corporation, which has grown to five facilities throughout North America, employing nearly 600. In addition to leading and growing Tsuchiya’s presence in North America, Trustee Walker also works closely with the leadership in Japan in matters of operations of the group’s businesses around the globe.
Trustee Walker has been an active member of the Indiana Economic Development Corporation Board, the Indiana University SPEA Dean’s Council, the Indiana University Credit Union Board, the Indiana Chamber of Commerce Board, Susie’s Place Child Advocacy Center Board, and has been president of the board of the Japan-America Society of Indiana. She is a graduate of Cornell University’s School of Industrial and Labor Relations.
