Trustee Gonso is a partner (retired) in the Indianapolis law firm of Ice Miller with a concentration in general corporate and transaction law. He has served as a member of the Indiana State Bar Association in several leadership positions. Trustee Gonso has been active in numerous civic, cultural, and educational organizations, including service on the boards of directors of Community Hospital Foundation, Community Hospitals, Methodist Sports Medicine Foundation, the Indiana University Research and Technology Corporation, and the IU Foundation. Actively involved in Indiana’s life sciences sector, he is a founding member of Twilight Venture Partners and serves on the Indiana Clinical and Translational Sciences Institute External Advisory Committee and on the Indiana Center for Biomedical Innovation Board.

Trustee Gonso received his B.S. from IU Bloomington and his J.D. from the IU Maurer School of Law. He was a member of the Indiana University football team that played in the 1967 Rose Bowl and was an Academic All-American and All-Big Ten selection.
